We’re so glad you’re interested in giving one of our animals a loving home! To make sure each adoption is the best possible match for both the animal and adopter, we follow the process below:

1. Submit an Application

Start by filling out an adoption application on our website. This helps us learn more about you, your household, and what kind of pet you’re looking for.

2. Background and Vet Check

Once your application is received, one of our admins will review it and complete a background check and veterinary reference check. This helps us ensure that our animals are going to safe, responsible, and caring homes.

3. Application Review

If your application is approved, an admin will contact you to schedule a meet and greet with the animal you’re interested in.

• If you already have a dog and are applying to adopt another dog, a dog-to-dog meet and greet will be required to make sure they get along.

• If there are any issues or concerns with your application, an admin may reach out to discuss next steps or clarify information.

4. Meet & Greet

During the meet and greet, you’ll get to know the animal and see if it’s a good fit for your family. Our goal is to make sure both you and the animal feel comfortable and happy together.

5. Final Decision

Please note that approval of an application does not guarantee adoption.

• We do not operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Our priority is to place each animal in the home that best suits their needs and personality.

• Sometimes, we schedule multiple meet and greets for the same animal. If a suitable match is found, future meet and greets may be canceled. You’re always welcome to schedule a meeting with another animal at that time.

• There is no guarantee that you will be chosen for the specific animal you applied for, but we’ll do our best to help you find your perfect match.
